An Integrative Approach to
Omics and Agriculture Science
Next Generation Sequencing
For the Fungal Kingdom
Application of Omics
Technology to Edible Fungus
In-depth molecular research on edible fungi conducted by omics technology is very important for their cultivation, breeding, and production in later stages.
Our primary interest lies in exploring
The Fungal Kingdom, developing methods and generating
databases.
Bioinformatic analyses increase the understanding of biological processes with computationally intensive techniques, for pattern recognition, data mining, machine learning algorithms, and visualization. And major research efforts in the field include DNA/RNA/protein sequencing, sequence alignment, gene finding, genome assembly, drug design & discovery, protein structure alignment and prediction, prediction of gene expression and protein-protein interactions, genome-wide association studies, and the modeling of evolution. Fungal genomes or metagenomes are largely unexplored, and therefore harbour great potential for the discovery of novel, high-value natural compounds for product development.
